I, Joseph Sigrin, am accepting my invitation to serve as a Municipal School Health Coordinator Peace Corps Volunteer in Guatemala, departing January 4, 2011.
So begins my odyssey in the service of the federal government. I have done as so many other draft dodgers, hippies, and aimless college grads have done before. I have joined the Peace Corps. Over my 27 months of service I will be tested, probably fail, and then (hopefully) pull through and into a better sense of myself as a person, traveler, and, well, aimless college grad.
I can't wait.
